How We Hit 100: The Journey of ThePlasticsPaper

👋
It's hard to believe we've hit 100 editions. When I first started ThePlasticsPaper back in April 2021—over three years ago—the goal was simple: to share the best bits of plastic surgery with those who love the field as much as I do.

It's grown into something far greater than I ever imagined. From those early days of figuring out what mattered to you, to our first piece that truly resonated, it's been an incredible ride. We've covered so much—from debates on the reconstructive ladder and tissue expansion to tackling controversial topics like the "perfect" male bum and the complexities of open-access fees.

It hasn't been all smooth. About a year ago, I burned out and took a two-month break, unsure if I could continue. But after some time to recharge, I realized how much this paper meant to both of us. So, I got back on the horse, and here we are, stronger than ever.

2021 --> 2024

The logo has changed a bit since that first edition, just like ThePlasticsPaper has. Some experiments worked, others didn’t, but every step of the way, your feedback, questions, and support have driven this journey forward. From launching the Oral Exams section, Podcast to incorporating AI-powered study tools, it's been about pushing boundaries together.

Thank you for being part of this journey. This edition is to share the moments and the data over the last 100 editions.

Lot of Love,
P'Fella ❤️

ps - there was a funny hiccup back in June when I mistakenly thought we'd hit the 100th edition (check it out here). Turns out I was a bit ahead of myself!
